Lights, Cookies and Santa Claus

WINDHAM–Saturday, hundreds gathered at the Town Common for Windham’s annual tree lighting ceremony, but Al Letizio Jr., his family and several employees gathered at his Enterprise Drive business. They were hard at work baking trays of cookies to be shuttled over to the event once they were out of the oven.

Meanwhile, in the unseasonably warm December weather, local bands tuned their instruments and Santa Claus met with children before strings of colorful lights illuminated the massive tree that sits in the middle of the town.

Each year, the town hosts the even and sees an impressive turnout.
