Al Letizio, Jr.

President & Chief Executive Officer

Al Letizio, Jr. is the co-founder of A.J. Letizio Sales & Marketing, the 4th generation of Letizio family members in an unbroken chain of industry experience dating back to 1912. Al grew up working in the family markets as a meat cutter, in his father’s enterprises as a warehouseman and truck driver at Agar Supply and in manufacturing and production at Genoa Sausage Company. After earning a BS from the University of Massachusetts in 1981, Al entered the food brokerage business and spent 6 years with Try-Angle Foods in Boston before venturing off to co-found A.J. Letizio Sales & Marketing with wife Patti Letizio. Under his leadership, the company has grown from the founding team of two people to a team of seventy-five, successfully serving clients, across the Retail and Foodservice/Non-Foods Industries in more than sixteen states. Al serves currently as the company CEO. Additionally, Al is a board member for the New England Food Foundation, Massachusetts Food Association and previously with the Northeast Fresh Foods Alliance. Al serves and has served on his town’s Board of Selectman, School Board, Economic Development Committee and serves in leadership roles in Boy Scouts of America and numerous other community service organizations. Al also provides consultative services to the retail and foodservice sectors as an industry expert as well as in various advisory roles in professional, business, governmental organizations.

Mike Angelo

Vice President –
Facility Operations &
Sales Support Services

Mike directs Inside Sales Support and all aspects of Customer Service for all divisions of the company. In this role Mike manages the company’s Retail Merchandising, coordinates all sales support efforts and manages oversees all logistics and facility operations. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with Keene State University. Mike has served in Management and direction of Customer Service Team with Lechmere Corporation of Boston. He has been recognized nationally among peer for excellence in Manufacturer Business Management and Strategic Planning. During Mike’s decades of tenure and leadership at A.J. Letizio, he has maintained the core values of the organization and continued to foster the “small company” feel of dedicated personalized service that has always been the hallmark of the company’s reputation since its onset. Mike has adapted that culture of service through the growth and transformation of the company into the larger organization it is today.

Sandy Neals

Vice President – Administrative & Operational Support

Sandy directs all aspects of the company’s technology systems and oversees administration and day to day financial operations and fleet management for the company. In this role Sandy conducts the company’s monthly performance reporting and forecasting systems for all divisions. A Certified Network Administrator, During Sandy’s decades of leadership at A.J. Letizio, the company has remained at the cutting edge as a leader in utilizing technology to grow and develop the business of our clients and customers. Sandy’s industry experience includes positions served in headquarters operational management with Purity Supreme Supermarkets and Lil’ Peach Convenience Stores. A certified Notary Public in New Hampshire, Sandy has served her community extensively in the judicial system as an advocate for children’s rights.

Marc DiPersio

Senior Vice President Retail Division
Business Management & Merchandising

Marc DiPersio serves as Senior Vice President–Retail Business Management & Merchandising. Marc is an industry veteran who earned his BS in Management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and initially began his career with the Lincoln Food Group of Woburn, Massachusetts. Marc then co-founded Top Line Food Sales, a sales & marketing agency specialized in the in-store bakery sector. When he merged his company with Acosta Sales & Marketing in 2008, DiPersio was named as Acosta’s VP of Fresh in New England. Marc joined A.J Letizio in 2016 as VP of Fresh Foods, a position he held until his recent promotion to SVP-Retail.

Patti Letizio

Senior Vice President and Principal

Patti Letizio is the co-founder of A.J. Letizio Sales & Marketing, the 4th generation of Letizio family members industry experience dating back to 1912. After earning a BS from Fitchburg State University in 1982, Patti pursued a career as a professional educator before leaving the profession to join husband Al Letizio, Jr. in the start-up of A.J. Letizio Sales & Marketing in 1988. Patti served in all business support functions in the growing organization. As the company has grown from the founding team of two people to a team of seventy-five, in more than sixteen states Patti oversees Compensation and Administration for the team. Patti also leads the company’s Community Service and philanthropic efforts and has earned community service awards from the Massachusetts Food Association and Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce for these efforts. Patti serves as Co-President of Windham’s Helping Hands, dedicated to family service in the local community. She oversees the company’s annual food drive that provides food and household goods to 120 families each year at Christmas. Patti is also a member of the Massachusetts Food Association’s “Marauders,” in support of the organization’s annual convention.

Adam Letizio

Senior Vice President
Foodservice & Disposable Goods

Adam J. Letizio serves as Senior Vice President – Foodservice & Disposable Goods. Adam stated with the company working part time through high school and college in various roles. Adam earned his BS in Society, Technology and Policy from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating with distinction while completing Naval Reserve Officer Training at the College of the Holy Cross. He served as an Officer, Naval Aviator, and Instructor in the United States Navy over the next decade, deployed worldwide, operating the E-6B Mercury aircraft, the OC-135B Open Skies, and various other United State and foreign military aircraft, and serving in various management and leadership capacities. Letizio earned his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and was inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He subsequently earned certifications in Foodservice Operations and Modern Gastronomy at the New England Culinary Institute before starting his new position at A.J. Letizio, joining his brother as the Letizio family’s fifth generation in the food industry, carrying on the tradition started back in 1912.

Nick Letizio

Senior Vice President Retail Division
Account Management & Analytics

Nick Letizio serves as Senior Vice President of the Retail Division and in his role oversees the company’s founding core business sector. Letizio, who earned his BA in Economics from Yale University, previously served as a Client Business Manager and Key Account Manager in the A.J. Letizio Retail Division. He is trained across multiple data platforms and leads the division’s analytical efforts with the objective of driving sales through targeted market study. Prior to joining the family business, Nick served as a Strategy Consultant in the pharmaceutical space with the international firm IMS Health in their Boston area office. His experience in quantitative problem solving, modeling, and dashboard development has bolstered the range of services that A.J. Letizio can offer to its clients. Together with his brother Adam, Nick serves a key leadership role, continuing the family tradition as the fifth generation of food industry experts.
